The medication buffer nobody plans for

Everyone builds a food and water plan and then discovers on day three that the real emergency is a 30-day prescription running out. Talk to your prescriber now about a vacation supply or a 90-day fill, keep a written list of drug, dose and reason, and know which of your neighbors depend on refrigeration. This is the single cheapest resilience upgrade most households can make, and it costs an appointment.

Did this last month after Dana nagged me. Pharmacist approved a 90-day fill in about four minutes.

Adding a note to our squad plan: a written med list also belongs in the document vault, not just in someone's head.

My father has three prescriptions and I could not have named one of them a year ago. Now they are taped inside the cabinet.
